Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bedrock Assay website and the mobile XRF gold assay services we provide. By submitting a booking request, engaging our services, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Bedrock Assay is a professional mobile assay service registered and operating in Kampala, Uganda ("Bedrock Assay", "we", "us", "our").

1. Services

Bedrock Assay provides on-site X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis of gold and other precious metals. Our services include but are not limited to:

• On-site elemental analysis of gold samples, nuggets, dust, alloys, and finished items
• Issuance of assay certificates and purity reports
• Bulk and batch testing for mines, dealers, exporters, and refineries
• Pre-purchase or pre-sale verification testing

All services are subject to availability and confirmed by written or verbal agreement between Bedrock Assay and the client prior to the visit.

2. Booking and Engagement

Submitting a booking request via our website does not constitute a confirmed engagement. A service is confirmed only when Bedrock Assay has made contact with you and both parties have agreed on the scope, date, time, and location of the visit.

You are responsible for ensuring that the testing location is safe, accessible, and that all necessary permissions for our technician to attend are in place.

3. Accuracy of Results

XRF analysis is a highly accurate, industry-standard method for non-destructive elemental analysis. Our equipment is professionally maintained and calibrated. However, XRF results are inherently subject to measurement tolerances and the limitations of the technology, including:

• Surface composition may differ from interior composition in some sample types
• Sample preparation (cleanliness, surface condition) can affect readings
• Very thin plating or surface treatments may influence results

Our assay certificates are issued in good faith based on the readings obtained at the time of testing. Bedrock Assay is not liable for any commercial decision, loss, or damage arising from reliance on XRF results where those results were materially affected by factors outside our control, including undisclosed sample treatments or misrepresentation of sample origin.

4. Fees and Payment

Service fees are agreed prior to each visit. Fees are payable as specified in your service agreement, which may be per sample, per visit, or based on volume. We reserve the right to require payment in advance for new clients or large engagements.

Travel costs for field visits outside Kampala may be subject to an additional charge, which will be disclosed and agreed before the visit is confirmed.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a confirmed visit with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover travel and preparation costs already incurred. We will notify you as promptly as possible if we need to reschedule due to circumstances on our side.

6. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when submitting a booking request
• Ensure samples presented for testing are legally owned or authorised for testing by you
• Not present samples that have been treated, coated, or prepared in a way designed to mislead the analysis
• Ensure the testing environment is safe for our technician
• Comply with all applicable Ugandan laws and regulations regarding gold ownership, dealing, and export

Bedrock Assay reserves the right to decline or terminate a service engagement if we have reasonable grounds to believe any of the above conditions are not being met.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Bedrock Assay website — including text, design, layout, and graphics — is the property of Bedrock Assay and may not be reproduced, copied, or distributed without our prior written consent.

Assay certificates and reports issued by Bedrock Assay are issued to the client for their use in connection with the specific transaction or purpose for which the testing was commissioned. They may not be altered, falsified, or misrepresented.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bedrock Assay's total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that specific service engagement.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special loss or damage, including loss of profit, arising from the use of our services or website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions. Continued use of our website or services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
